It was today that I found out that UTL (Icelandic immigration office) has no record for my wife or daughter’s immigration paperwork even though that was 50% of the reason for my trip back in July of 2022. Fantastic. #iceland

Winter nights in Reykjavík hit different than Michigan. Every window in our house is open some amount. Not a lot, but enough to have a rogue wind carrying fresh air surprise you now and again. Enough to remember the outside. #iceland

Update on the doctor visit: they ran a blood test to ensure I actually had an infection before prescribing antibiotics which cost 1050kr or approximately $7.37. I’m out of a doctor’s visit for around $11 total.

Today is my first trip to the doctors office in Iceland. I’ve never been to a doctor anywhere other than Michigan for my entire adult life. and so far it has cost me the equivalent of $3.52 to see a nurse and an actual doctor as a walk-in.

Iceland Week 1 ✅
Our first full week living in Iceland has passed. My permits have been extended for another two years and we might finally get a new car in the next month or two… We finally found some cool things to take our daughter to while we wait for her to be properly registered as a resident…
